Schedule changesets: every edit, who made it, when — without leaving the schedule

A weekly clinic schedule is never finished.

The engine builds it on Monday. Then humans reshape it. An appointment gets moved. Two patients get combined into a group session. A provider calls out and their day gets reassigned. Someone publishes the week. Someone else clones it as a draft to try a different version.

By Friday, the schedule that is live looks almost nothing like the one the engine produced. And when a colleague asks “wait, why is Mr. R. in the 2 p.m. group now?”, the honest answer is usually a shrug.

  • Removed a patient from a group.
  • Marked a patient absent.
  • Published, unpublished, archived, or cloned the schedule as a draft.

Each entry is written in plain language — “Combined 3 appointments into a group session” — not action codes. Every change shows who made it, with an initials avatar, and when.

Built for how schedulers actually work

Click a change, see what it touched. Select any entry in the drawer and the affected appointment cells pulse on the grid. No hunting through the week. The change points at itself.

Expand for the details. One real-world action often touches several appointments at once. When a provider calls out, Tempo reassigns their whole day — and that shows up as a single changeset you can expand to see each individual reassignment underneath: which patient, which new provider, which slot.

The story survives “clone as draft.” When you clone a published schedule to build the next iteration, the history does not reset. Tempo walks the schedule’s lineage and stitches in the relevant changes from prior versions — dimmed and tagged “from prior version” — so you get one continuous timeline instead of a blank slate every time you branch.

Filter to the noise that matters. Scope the timeline to just your own changes, or to a recent window, when you only need the latest moves.
